On My 810-LTD

--------------------------------

My TaylorStock guitar was delivered to Buffalo Brothers in Carlsbad shortly after noon on Thursday, October 24. I couldn't allow my beautiful guitar spend a cold night all alone in the store, so I battled rush hour traffic to rescue my newest acquisition from another night of loneliness.

The very first glimpse I had of the existence of my guitar was on October 2 when Mike showed me the peghead veneer of my guitar. I also spotted the TaylorStock label sheet with my label.

Two days later, while walking to the station where fretboards are sanded, I noticed that the frets were being installed on my neck and said, "Oh, my gosh, that is mine!" Here's the work order which confirmed my allegations. A short time later, I was asked if I wanted to see my guitar. "You can't be serious," I exclaimed. But they were serious and showed me the custom specs sheet attached to the guitar, though I could only see the top edge of the sides.

On a quick walk-through of the Factory on October 10, I saw the top, back, and sides in the finish department. The first time Jonathan and I went through the finish department, I didn't see my guitar, though I did get a glimpse of another Forum member's guitar. While in the 1940 building, I was informed that my guitar was already in the other building so I asked if we could go back and see if we could find it. I am glad we did. When I spotted its side, Jonathan and the factory worker were a little surprised I was so certain it was mine.

A week later on October 16, I had great look of my guitar in final assembly. Some factory workers saw me trying to take pictures of a guitar in a cart, and not having much luck. Thankfully, one came over and took down the guitar. I think he was also a little surprised that I was so sure it was my guitar. Here are the beautiful top, back, and sides of my recently finished guitar.

Just a week later, I get the call to come pick up my guitar. Here are some pictures of it at home. These are not the pictures that will be permanently placed on my site (these were taken with a flash and have reflections and other undesireables), but they are of decent quality.
