On The Ryan Cathedral Grand Fingerstyle 12-String

--------------------------------

Kevin began building this Brazilian Rosewood / Redwood 12-string Cathedral with Ebony bindings and bevel in August 2007. It was originally going to be a Nightingale, but Kevin believed it would make a better Cathedral.

On September 28, 2007, the Cathedral was in the spray booth, looking very nice. In August, we also decided to add Kevin's brand new Bevel Acoustic Flutes that he debuted at the 2007 Healdsburg Guitar Festival. It will be the first Cathedral as well as the first 12-string with flutes.

The inlay on the headstock and fretboard are also completed. The fretboard inlay is a new design Kevin created this year.

Well, it's finished! Kevin strung it up for the first time on Tuesday, October 23, 2007! He told me (jokingly, I think) that he might decide to keep it for himself. Anyway, I brought the guitar home on Friday and find it to be the best 12-string I've ever played. He has that great Cathedral bass rumble ... warm trebles that can brighten up with heavier attack ... practically a 6-string playability ... and is a beauty to admire.
