This hall was usually the one I started in as it opened about half an hour earlier than all the others. I spent quite a bit of time at James Goodall Guitars. I really like the Purple Heart truss rod cover on the KP-14 (pictured on the left) and hope to put one on my KJCK. I think the ECJ (pictured on the right) has stunning Macassar Ebony. I also played their new Mahogany/Sitka Spruce Baritone. It sounds so sweet. With medium gauge strings tuned to D on a Standard body, this guitar has a rich, deep bass with clear, but not too bright, highs. Their East Indian Rosewood/Sitka Spruce Jumbo 12-string is one of the best sounding 12-strings I have played.
I also visited and talked with exhibitors at Bourgeois and C. Fox Guitars, Breedlove Guitars, Collings Guitars, Froggy Bottom Guitars, H. G. Leach Guitars, and Santa Cruz Guitars (web site does not appear to be up yet). I also picked up some picks at Grip Guitar Picks. They're curved to fit in your fingers.
