With all the wonderful happenings at TaylorStock, the most exciting for me happened near the end of the weekend after I asked Bob Taylor if we could take a picture with my GA-BE. I expected that we would just pose and take a few pictures. Instead, he has a seat, examines it, and plays it for a few minutes!
We did take some pictures together with my very first Taylor. And my husband documented the time when pictures were finished. I kind of wonder if he did this as a reminder to me that we had been there way too long and should be getting home. Nevertheless, we still stayed over an hour longer.
I didn't ask Bob Taylor to sign my guitar ... nor did it even cross my mind. I even wiped off his fingerprints along with the ones I made during Open Mic Night. However, he did flip through several soundhole coasters, selected an appropriate one, and signed one for me. Is the grain straight and tight enough? Well, we'll see when I see my finished TaylorStock guitar. That top had really straight tight grain!
