My Winter 2002 NAMM Show Memories - Hall C

I browsed a bit at Lowden Guitars. I have been looking at Lowdens for awhile, but did not like the fact that all of the ones I had seen were satin finished. I was a little disappointed that the majority of the selection they had at NAMM also had satin finishes.

Elixir Strings featured their new packaging at the NAMM show. They are also now packaging a heavy gauge 12-string set. This is the same set the Taylor Factory installs on its LKSM-12. I also picked up a few free picks here and at a few other places.

DR Handmade Strings announced their new coated strings. They are not available yet, but should be within the next few months. The unique feature of these strings is that the first and second string are also coated. I will probably try these when they show up at my local guitar store.

Other booths of interest were J. D'Addario, D'Andrea (they are marketing the E-Z Peg bridge pins), Dunlop, Hal Leonard, Levy's Leathers (I did find straps that looked identical to my Taylor Guitar Straps), and Sabine.
